FILMING FASHION

Filming Fashion is an exhibit that shows the relationship between the film industries and fashion industries.

Both industries lean on each other to produce visual cues, references, and perspectives. Fashion influences film through character design, attitude, and aesthetics. The way a character dresses majorly impacts them, either through subtle hints of color or sharp characteristics of branding. Film influences fashion by allowing specific archival styles to be reborn to a new audience, limitless potential of references to unique moments, and through countless collaborations, either as collections or wrap party gifts to the crew.

Showcasing primarily the films The Fith Element, The Devil Wears Prada, and Mission Impossible 4, the exhibit contains a 70-page zine, a vinyl title wall, and 3 posters.
